I am Thankful.

Writing has always been a form of escape for me, not that I've ever had anything to escape from. I've had a great life. I have a beautiful family. I have my health and happiness. I am lucky. I know this to be true.
Writing has always come easy. It's always been something that flows freely from my fingertips. I love the twists and turns that accompany a page-turning thriller. I love the steamy sensations that make my mouth dry as I read a great erotic tale. Now, I've been able to combine both of these interests into my writing and I couldn't be more thankful, especially with Thanksgiving upon us.
I am thankful for so many things. I am thankful for the gift of writing. I am thankful for the gift of reading. I am thankful for a supportive, encouraging family. I am thankful for amazing friends and helpful hearts. I'm also thankful for my failures; there have been plenty, and each one comes with a valuable lesson if I only stop to learn it. Failures are but marks of progression on my journey. They are reminders that I do not know everything; I am still learning. I will never give up.
I have been writing full-time for three years now. While there have been moments of aggravation and confusion, there are also crystal-clear moments when I know I am doing what I am meant to be doing. There are times when I look at my bookshelf with all my titles on it, and I can't help but smile and be proud of myself. When I was a young girl, my dream was to be a published author, and I am. While I am thankful for countless outside forces, it's the fire inside my soul that I am the most grateful for. I hope to share a bit more of myself with this blog. I hope you can come to know me and enjoy reading and writing as much as I do.
